Pride Parade

The City of Springfield has approved our application to have the FIRST ANNUAL Springfield PrideFest PRIDE PARADE. This event will take place the day of PrideFest and will be the kick off leading to the ribbon cutting event. At 11:00 a.m. the parade will begin at 5th & Allen and proceed NORTH on 5th Street to Jackson Street. At Jackson, all large entries (floats, bands, etc.) will exit left onto Jackson. Anyone on the parade route that wants to join the parade may do so at the rear of the parade. All walkers will then enter PrideFest on 5th Street, turning left onto Capitol Avenue and will then observe the ribbon cutting ceremony at NOON!

PLEASE READ: The Springfield PrideFest “Pride Parade”, like the event itself, is FAMILY FRIENDLY. Please be respectful. Any entry displaying any form of nudity or anything sexually explicit will not be allowed to participate. This is a must if we are to be allowed to do this again next year and to continue to grow our festival. Thank you!

Since this is our first year, the parade is going to be limited in terms of entries. Get your application in soon so you can be a part of this historic Springfield event!! If you have any questions, call Jonna at 217-528-5253.
